MEDIROM and L-care will start a trial operation in October 2022. Once MEDIROM and L-care have finished co-developing, 「MOTHER Bracelet™」 will be distributed to 10,000 people in home care, then sent to 30,000 facility users, adding up to 40,000 users.
MEDIROM and L-care will start co-developing and operating a monitoring system based on MOTHER Bracelet™ to reduce the burdens of home nursing.
MOTHER Bracelet™ is a wearable device run by thermal energy, powered by the Seebeck effect, patented technology of Matrix Industries, Inc., headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA. With its technology, MOTHER Bracelet™ overcame the eternal problem of limited battery life in wearable devices. The alliance agreed that MEDIROM would distribute its SDK (Software Development Kit) and co-develop a monitoring (central control) system specific to home care services.
Every home-care user will wear a MOTHER Bracelet™ for monitoring. MOTHER Bracelet™ will contact their family and facility manager when it detects strangeness in the collected data.
