New York - July 12, 2021- MEDIROM Healthcare Technologies Inc., (Nasdaq: MRM), ("MEDIROM"), today announced that the Company has started accpeting pre-orders for MOTHER Bracelet, an activity tracker without the need to remove for separate charging, on a crowdfunding website “Makuake” in Japan. The pre-orders are for Japan only starting July 7, 2021.
Ahead of the official release, the Company has received support from over 400 people since the first day of the crowdfunding launch, and the total amount of pre-order purchases has exceeded 20 million yen. As of July 8, 2021, Mother Bracelet was ranked top on Makuake website. The products are offered in two colors, White and Black.

Mother Bracelet is an active tracker equipped with the patented "thermoelectric energy” technology invented by Matrix Industries, Inc., located in Menlo Park, California. It allows the device to be powered and driven semi-permanently by the body heat of its wearer, eliminating the need for separate charging.
